Pedagogical Quality Evaluation of the Math-Bridge Project

Keywords: eLearning, pedagogy, evaluation.

General context: The Math-Bridge project is providing an online service for bridging courses in mathematics aimed at first years students in scientific universities or engineer schools. It helps them identifying their knowledge gaps and filling them by providing learning material adapted to their current competencies model. This model evolves during the use of the platform. This project gathers state of the art pedagogical material provided by the numerous and prestigious partners.

Objectives: Massive use of the platform are going to take place in partners' institutions and the pedagogical added value, in particular some specific features of the platform, have to be assessed. A part of the mission of the job is to conduct these tests, at the technological as well as at the didactical level. The rest of the mission is of a research nature: get a more general view on eLearning platforms, publish papers on the methodology and results in good journals, participate in the community.

General conditions:
diploma: MSc for engineer contract or PhD in mathematics, computer science or didactics for the postdoctoral contract.
research skills: the candidate should be motivated to work in didactics and eLearning.
technical skills: the candidate should have or show willingness and ability to learn java server programming language, hibernate, velocity.
language: English required, French preferred.
location: University Montpellier 2 I3M.
salary: around 1800€ net, according to experience. Participation to the move to Montpellier is possible.

Remark: An engineer is welcome but we would prefer a postdoctoral young researcher because we think this project is interesting on the research side and can launch a career in the field: this person will later on disseminate the technology and methodology, while an engineer might not stay in the community of eLearning.

Installation d'imprimante

Pour installer une imprimante sous windows, il vous faut des droits d'administration suffisants, identifier len modèle de l'imprimante et son nom (imp4e pour l'imprimante du 4ème étage qui est une Hewlett-Packard).

Dans le menu démarrer, choisir les imprimantes et en ajouter une.

Contrairement à l'intuition, il faut créer un nouveau port en local sous le protocole TCP/IP.

Lui donner le nom complet de l'imprimante.

Configurer cette imprimante.

Aller chercher son pilote sur le site du fabricant si nécessaire, noter où vous avez téléchargé ce dossier, décompressez le à un endroit que vous retrouverez et in diquez cet endroit à l'installateur.

Votre imprimante est prête à l'emploi.

Les configurations sous macOS ou linux sont typiquement plus simples mais nécessitent ce genre de manipulations.

Tutoriel Environnement

Dans le cadre des Journées de Statistique qui auront lieu cette année à Marseille du 24 au 28 mai 2010, le groupe Environnement de la SFdS organise un tutoriel sur "Valeurs extrêmes : analyse de risque en environnement".
