Do you want to study for your Ph. D in France ? The department of mathematics in Montpellier offers unique opportunities for high level scientific work at the doctoral level.

Our research teams are internationally recognized in number theory, algebra, geometry, analysis, scientific computing, optimization, and statistics and its interactions with medicine or agronomy.

The Ph.D program is organized in Montpellier by the Graduate School "Information, Structures and Systems". The School runs doctoral programs in Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanics and Engineering, and Nanotechnology and Systems science.

Ph.D students of any citizenship can apply for doctoral grants offered by the local Universities, the French National Center for Scientific Research, and many other research agencies.
